AcexHealth will reward the four best companies in the Andalusian health sector

AcexHealth, the support and mentoring program promoted by the University of Granada, the Health Technology Park, the Andalusian Government and the Granada Chamber of Commerce, will award the four best Andalusian companies in the health sector (Biotech, Pharma, MedTech or Digital Health). The winners will be chosen among the ten participating companies in the 2nd edition of AcexHealth and will be eligible for an exclusive funding package, as well as a cash prize and the possibility of participating in a business mission to Boston to visit one of the most important innovation hubs in the world.

The AcexHealth Awards were presented today at a ceremony held at the PTS Foundation headquarters. The Andalusian Regional Secretary for Research and Innovation, Pablo Cortés; the manager director of the Progress and Health Foundation, Gonzalo Balbontín, and the member of the Granada Chamber of Commerce, José Francisco Muñoz, have attended the event.

After the success of the first edition, the AcexHealth business acceleration program has positioned itself in this second edition as a consolidated and attractive program for companies in the health sector. In this sense, dozens of companies from all over Andalusia have chosen to be part of this second edition. The success achieved by AcexHealth in its first edition has also managed to attract important national and international companies as sponsors, such as Bidafarma, Adamed, Vircell, Vithas and Covirán.

The event held today served as the starting point for the process of accompanying and mentoring the 10 selected companies, which will last from September to February 2023. The so-called AcexHealth Kick-Off Day, which has been carried out today’s, was the first contact between the companies selected in this 2nd edition and the mentors who are going to help them accelerate each of the projects.

Andalusia records about 14.4% of all Biotech companies and is configured as the third region of biotechnological activity in Spain, with more than 110 companies in the sector.
