Todd Snowden Todd holds a BSc in Bioengineering and Pre-Medicine from The Catholic University of America (Washington, USA). Todd is a highly successful international healthcare executive with more than 30+ years’ experience in life sciences companies. He has worked in product management, global sales management and as CEO for companies in molecular diagnostics, laboratory services, and medical devices such as: W.L. Gore & Associates, Interleukin Genetics, and PathoGene. During 2010-2013, he was interim CEO at PathoGene, L.L.C, a start-up molecular diagnostics development company. Currently Todd is founder/principal of Ascent Business Advisors, a strategy consulting/interim management firm he founded in 2008 focused on clinical diagnostics, medical devices and digital health start-up companies.
Mercedes Delgado is Associate Professor of Strategy and Innovation at Copenhagen Business School and Research Scientist at the MIT Innovation Initiative. She serves as Senior Institute Associate at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School. Delgado’s research focuses on the relationship between the regional business environment and the performance of inventors, firms, regions, and countries. She examines the role of regional clusters—geographic concentrations of related industries, firms, and supporting institutions —in job creation, innovation, entrepreneurship, inclusivity, and resilience. Delgado has developed new methods for defining and mapping industry clusters and the supply chain economy, providing tools to help firms, practitioners, and policymakers create regional and national strategies. In recent work she explores the interaction between firm location choices through the value chain and firm performance. Delgado’s work has been published in top economic, policy, and strategy journals. She served as a lead researcher on the US Cluster Mapping Project: Mapping a Nation of Regional Clusters
Jorge Arenas-Vidal is founder and managing partner of the BioSerentia Group, a business accelerator and venture builder in deep tech health operating since 2008. During this period, he founded, invested in and held chairman and interim CEO responsibilities for two biotech startups, advised on corporate strategy and designed deep tech entrepreneurship policies and programs for public and private clients. After working as a laboratory scientist, he began his career as an executive in Arthur Andersen’s Healthcare Practice, then worked as a Director at Vitalia Consulting, which was acquired by former IBM partners. Jorge holds a PhD in Toxicology, University of Navarra, and a Master in BioScience Enterprise from The Cambridge-MIT Institute. Distinguished in BioEntrepreneurship by the University of Cambridge.
Lourdes Núñez-Müller holds an MBA from IESE Business School, an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation and Technology from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Granada, Spain where she got her B.S. and M.S. in Pharmacy. She has been a PhD-level healthcare director in Sanitas (Madrid), CH -Werfen (Lexington, MA ,USA) and Biopharmaceutical Corporate Relations Liaison at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard Medical School (Boston, MA USA). After 5 years in Boston, she returned to Spain as Director of Knowledge Transfer, Internationalization and Entrepreneurship at PTS Granada. EIT Health & EIC Accelerator Evaluator. She has over 20 years of experience providing support for health companies.
Eric Bannon, has over 35 years of experience providing clinical and regulatory support for medical device companies. His expertise focuses on implementing creative regulatory and clinical strategies from development through commercialization, with experience in multiple therapeutic areas including Endoscopy, Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, Metabolic and Neurovascular Diseases.
Eric is frequently called upon by incubators and accelerators to provide expert clinical and regulatory advice for startup medical device companies. He is the primary author of dozens of 510(k)s, Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) and PMA submissions in the US and related clinical and regulatory submissions in the EU, Australia, and Asia.
Jörg Landwehr is a Managing Partner at ActeaVentures GmbH. He received his PhD for his molecular endocrinology research carried out at the University Hospital Basel. After his post-doc at F. Hoffmann-La Roche, he worked there on competitor analysis, revenue forecasting, project valuation, and market analytics. He then served as BD&L Director at PharmaMar (Madrid, Spain) before co-founding ActeaVentures in 2014.

Borja Smith consulting director with more than 20 years of experience in the life sciences sector. He has worked mainly in consulting companies, in the pharmaceutical industry and in healthcare equipment companies. During this period he has focused his activity on advising companies and public organizations and institutions on issues as diverse as Research, Development and Innovation policies (R&D&I policies), commercial strategy or the development and launch of new drugs. Daniel Rico is a Tenured Research Group leader (Lecturer equivalent) at Newcastle University. He is a creative researcher with expert knowledge in molecular biology and bioinformatics. His scientific method is similar to the approach of an artist: he continuously explores new ways to recycle, combine and analyse different types of biological data in order to understand how cells and organisms work. He enjoys working as part of multidisciplinary teams, aiming for synergistic interactions that lead to ideas and discoveries that are not possible to achieve in isolation. He is currently investigating the differences of the immune system in men and women and the genome features that promote translocations in cancer.
Carlos Martín Oviedo
Carlos Martín Oviedo is CFO Chief Financial Officer at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Granada and Associate Professor at the University of Granada. Being graduated in Economics and having a Master degree in business administration Carlos has developed an intense and long career of more than 20 years of work in the field of financial consultancy with a remarked expertise in the analysis of economic and financial viability of companies and projects, financial planning and companies valuation and rating. He is also Associate Professor (PDI) at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Granada, attached to the Financial Economy and Accountancy Department and teaching the subjects of Financial planning and Company valuation. Maria A. Revieriego
Maria A. Revieriego(Executive Regulatory Consultant and Co-founder of ALLADVICE REGULATORY CONSULTANTS SL). Ex-regulator at the Medicine and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the UK as a Pharmaceutical Assessor of registration dossiers. More than 20 years’ professional experience across Europe mainly in Regulatory Affairs and Product Lifecycle Management of Human Medicinal Products in different biopharmaceutical companies and business models. Gustavo Fuster holds a Degree in Pharmacy from the UCM, an MBA (Biotechnology) from Aliter and studied Law at UNED. He held the position of Business Development and Patents Manager at Genetrix Corp (gaining experience in the field of monoclonal antibodies and adult stem cell technology), was Patents Manager at a Spanish patent attorney firm and Director of the Technology Transfer Office of the Andalusian Public Healthcare System (practical experience in Spanish civil, administrative and commercial law, and in advanced therapies (stem cells and tissue engineering, nanotechnology and gene therapy)). He obtained the title of Spanish Industrial Property Attorney in 2007, the title of European Patent Attorney in 2008 and the CEIPI Diploma in Patent Litigation in Europe in 2011. Currently studying a Master’s degree in bioinformatics and a Computer Engineering Degree (UOC). He joined HOFFMANN EITLE in 2011.
Valerie Vanhooren co-founded ONA Therapeutics, where she serves as CEO. She has held previous positions as R&D Director at ProteoDesign (a spin-off from Princeton University, developing biologics within the immuno-oncology space) and Ablynx (acquired by Sanofi), a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the development of Nanobodies® (proprietary therapeutic proteins). At Ablynx, she led drug development projects from early stage discovery till clinical trials in collaboration with big pharma (Merck, Abbvie etc.). Valerie is Doctor in Science by the University of Ghent, Belgium, and carried out postdoctoral studies at the VIB-Ghent University. She has extensive expertise in immuno-oncology, inflammation and aging research and has published widely in these fields.

Francisco Rico (Legal & Compliance Consultant). Francisco Graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Granada and has 20 years of professional experience as an external consultant to Technology-Based Companies.
